Different Mehandi Designs

Mehndi is a ceremonial art type which started in historical Native sub-continent. Complex styles of mehandi are generally used to wedding women before wedding ceremony.

The groom is also colored in some parts of Native india. In the modern age, usually people buy readymade Henna cones, which are ready to use and make artwork easy. However, in non-urban areas in Native indian, females smash fresh henna results in on sil (grinding stone) with added oil, which though not as enhanced as expertly prepared henna cones, brings much deeper colours.

The term henna body art is figurative, because true body art styles are lasting surgery insertions of pigmentation beneath epidermis, versus pigmentation relaxing on the surface as is the case with mehndi.
